As announced in a recent press release, Nissan will take advantage of the Tokyo International Motor Show to unveil a brand-new NISMO concept.

The event, which will open its doors to the public on January 9, is one of the most important of its kind in Asia. This is why the Japanese automaker’s performance division showcases numerous models there every year. The 2026 edition will be highlighted by the arrival of a new NISMO concept.

High Expectations

Between the GT-R, the Z, and other models such as the Armada, it’s safe to say that NISMO has been particularly active over the past few years. The Japanese automaker’s performance division has built a strong reputation, and its creations continue to grow more spectacular with each new iteration.

The first image released by the manufacturer doesn’t reveal much, but it does highlight some crucial elements. First, the vehicle appears to have been significantly widened, especially when looking at the distance between the rear light and the edge of the fender. In any case, we can expect something very aggressive from a design standpoint.

Something for Everyone

The new NISMO concept won’t be the only vehicle on display at the Japanese automaker’s performance division booth. Visitors will also find the Nissan Z NISMO, now offered with a manual transmission. The X-Trail Rock Creek and the Leaf Autech will also be part of the lineup. A stunning Nissan March, fully restored by students from Nissan’s technical college, will also be showcased alongside a Super GT–class GT-R.

In short, there should be plenty of action at Nissan’s booth at the Tokyo International Motor Show this year. I don’t know about you, but I’m personally looking forward to discovering what NISMO has in store with this intriguing new concept.
